Today our competition was Individual Stableford which
also counted as a qualifier for the Ford Leagues Competition. For the Ford League, there can be a maximum
of 12 games played of which the best 4 results will be taken to qualify. The two best players will then have the
chance to compete as a pair in the Ford League, the first round of which is
normally played in the spring of each year. Last year Clive and Doris narrowly
missed the cut-off to go into the second round.
Today's results show it was a very close match between first and second
place with Jeff winnning by one shot
counting back to the last 6 holes.It was good to see that Edi’s recovery from his operation is going so well and him completing 18 holes with a good score of 31 points. Our thoughts are with John Webber who was taken ill in Germany but is now back in the UK and we wish him well and hope he will be back in Spain playing golf very soon.
We had two guests today, Xavier from Belgium won the
guest prize with 34 points.

There was a flurry of twos today, 4 in all. Dennis on hole 4, Richard on hole 11 and two
twos on hole 14 from Brian and Jeff, all receiving the customary golf ball
thanks to our sponsor Bob.

3rd place with 38 points off 5 hcp, Dennis Pyman
2nd place with 39 points off 8 hcp, Richard Davis
1st place with 39 points off 17 hcp, Jeff Murten, beating Richard on the back 6
