Today was Captain’s Day.

48 members and guest
assembled to compete for various prizes and of course the Captain’s
Trophy. It was a beautiful day with
clear blue skies, a perfect day for golf.
Because of the large number of entrants, we were teeing off from tees 1
and 10.
At halfway house, we were
treated with some delicious food and drink, provided by Hazel, Graham’s wife, Heather
Davison, wife of Michael, Rose Wilksinson, wife of Les, and playing ladies
Pascale Leroux, Karine Sienaert and Christiane Tarabula.
Some of us felt like just staying put and enjoying the
refreshments but rumour has it that there have been some very good results. The Captain is keeping all the scores under
wraps as the prize giving will be at his Dinner Dance on Saturday, 22 November at
the Hotel Bonalba. |

As today there was no prize giving after the
competition, there was no need for the players to stay on after the golf but
quite a few of us did stay for a chat and a drink, enjoying the pleasant
sunshine on the terrace of the club and tucking into the remainder of the food
from halfway house.
