2015: Team Game Yellow Ball (21.10.)

This Wednesday our Captain had decided on a team game.  Luckily the rain had stopped in time for the competition.  However, the course was still very wet and buggies were only allowed on the pathways.

The team game consisted of the three best Stableford scores with the added introduction of the proverbial “yellow ball” which was played by each team member consecutively.  It counted as double points and had to be included in the three scores.  Needless to say, we all felt that extra pressure when it was our turn to play the “yellow ball”.  Even par was 144 points but nobody managed to reach this score.

As with all team games there are only two main prizes. So commiserations to Richard, Luc, Graham and his guest Andre who came third,

There were two twos today, by John Webber on hole 4 and by Jean-Paul Leroux, also on hole 4.  Both received the customary golf ball.

As for the main competition results:

2^nd place with a net 135 points, Michael Davison, Stephen Grey, Ray Prudhoe and John Brooks
1^st place with a net 139 points, John Garnett, Jean-Paul Leroux, David Payne and Sandra Woodfine.
