The New Year started with our Monthly Medal
competition. However, with regard to our yearly prize presentation, this
January Medal counts towards the 2015 Society Year which runs from February to
January.
There was a good turn out for this time of the year of
30 members and 2 guests. We were all
hoping that the strong winds on our arrival would die down but unfortunately
this was not the case and as we were battling on, some us were defeated by the
winds and decided on an early exit. The
difficult conditions were clearly evident by the fact that the winning score
was 77 and the overall scores resulted in the course playing 4 over par. Many congratulations to the back-to-back
Medal winner, Luc Verhaegen! Congratulations also to Greta, the runner-up who
had the lowest overall gross score of 87.
Of our two guests, Eric from France won the guest
prize.
Before prize giving, the Secretary reminded everyone
of the AGM on 27 January and that any proposals and nominations must be handed
in by Wednesday, 13 January.

Holes 11 + 14 Nobody reached the greens
There was one two today, from Brian Hines on hole 4. He receives the customary golf ball.

5th place with a net 80 off 33

3rd place with a net 80 off 19 hcp, Martine Bernois, again with a better back 9
2nd place with a net 79 off 8 hcp, Greta Biersteker
1st place with a net 77 off 28 hcp, Luc Verhaegen
