Today's happy winners
This week our vice president, Richard Davis, was in excellent form and amassed a huge total of 41 points off his 10 handicap. He played very consistently and features of his round were his long drives and precise iron play into the greens. His score resulted in an outright win over the other 39 members who played and rocketed him to the top of the CBGS 2017 consistency chart. Richard left the rest of the field 4 points adrift but today's winners still scored well and the 5 members finishing in 2nd to 6th places scored either 37 or 36 points each.
Today the CBGS league team had a 'bonding' day. The usual 8 team members played together in 2 fourballs and after the competition they met to discuss strategies for playing the winners of the northern league at La Sella Golf Club. Our team has already won the Southern League title and will play this final match of the season on Friday 12th May and the golf will be followed by a dinner and presentation ceremony.
Next week from the 14th to the 16th May is our away trip. All details are on this website and all participants should have received an itinerary from Captain Gordon. Let's hope for lovely weather and great golf.
Summarising the Results
Sadly no guests were able to play with us today and therefore no prize could be awarded. This was due to the fact that we had a full compliment of 40 members and no other tee times were available.
