Today, 22 of us played Individual Stableford which qualified for all Society Competitions but not for handicap adjustments on Master Scoreboard. However, the scorecards of the members who are registered with the Spanish Golf Federation, were also processed to count for the Worldwide Handicap System.
The overall results today were not “spectacular”. Maybe the higher temperatures are getting to us? Congratulations to Jan, who was the only player who came near par.
There was no prize presentation today but a group of us took the opportunity to have a drink and a chat on the club terrace and, above all, to say our good-byes to Gordon Burton, our former President and also previous Captain. His service to our Society over the last ten years has been invaluable and very much appreciated and he will be missed by all of us. Our best wishes go with him and his wife Jackie for their new life in France.
