This being the last competition before Christmas, some members had already started their holidays or were busy preparing for it, so there were only 20 players taking part.
It was decided to play individual Stableford, but it was a non-qualifier for both, the Society competitions and Handicap adjustments.
After the initial low temperatures, the day turned out to be very pleasant and the layers soon came off to enable us to swing more freely. However, scoring was a little low. Only Santi managed to break par. Congratulations to him and the other players on the winners’ board.
Nearest the pin also seemed to be more difficult today. Two pins were not claimed. The green on par-3 hole 4 was out of action. The pin was located on the fairway in front of the green without being surrounded by a temporary green. So, nearest the pin on a green could have been a difficult decision. However, Santi’s ball was close and, in the end, the decision was easy.

2nd place with 33 points off 30 hcp – Graham Sutton, beating Moe Farouky on the back 9
Winner with 37 points off 25 hcp – Santi Hung
