2023: St. Andrew's Day Stableford (29.11.)

Our Sponsors Derek and Karen

Venue:  Bonalba Golf & Spa

Today we played the St. Andrew’s Day competition, generously sponsored by our Scottish friends Derek and Karen Cruickshank.  The format was Individual Stableford and 23 members and 6 guests were competing.

We were all very well looked after by Derek and Karen. To get us going, we were offered a “wee dram” and each player received a Scottish Goody Bag.  Also, at half-way house, there were warm and cold refreshments, with the help of Karen Davis and Hazel Sutton.

There were prizes galore, and to follow the prize giving, a big raffle for all participants.

Looking at the results of the Stableford competition, the Division 2 players came in with some excellent results, whereas the Division 1 players were struggling a bit.  Only Derek, the sponsor, played to par.

We were asked to enter into the spirit of the occasion by wearing something appropriate.  Some players certainly did that, but Michael Davison received the prize for “best dressed”.

Congratulations to all winners today and a big thank you to Derek and Karen for their generosity and organisation of such a wonderful day, which was appreciated by all.

All photos of the occasion are posted separately on our website.

A summary of the results are as follows:
