Today, our Society had “the Blues”. Well, some of us did, whilst others had a good time, as we were all playing from the blue tees with adjusted handicaps, format Individual Stableford which qualified for all Society competitions and also for handicap purposes.
As we are approaching the height of the summer, we had a dwindling number of participants, 18 in total, divided evenly into 9 players in each Division.
Congratulations to all the winners. Marko and Derek continuing their good form and also, Karen since she has been back from her injury time out.
Next week will be the last game before the holiday month of August. Our present Captain Pascale has kindly agreed to carry on arranging the games in August. It will be an official competition if there are 12 or more players enrolled, otherwise it will be an informal game.

There will not be any report on the blog for the next two weeks, as the writer is away on holiday. However, the results will, as usual, be published on the Society Whatapp group.

There were two twos today, from Marcel and Marko, both on hole 11. They each received one of “Bob’s balls”.
Individual Stableford Competition:
1st Division:
Runner-up with 36 points off 14 hcp – Derek Cruickshank
Winner with 38 points off 9 hcp – Marko van den Berg
2nd Division:
Runner-up with 36 points off 30 hcp – Karen Cruickshank
Winner with 36 points off 23 hcp – Jean-Paul Leroux, on lower handicap
