Golf & Spa, 11 April 2018
Winter temperatures and strong winds had returned to Bonalba as we
assembled this morning to play Individual Stableford and our thoughts were with
Johnny G who was sporting summer shorts.
We had a turn-out of 34 members and one guest. As we started our round, it became apparent
that today’s lay-out of the course would result in a male dominated leaderboard
as the position of the yellow tees were well in front of their normal positions
making us ladies struggle to compete.
This proved to be right. Congratulations
to all winners and well done Heidi, our top lady with 31 points.
The two long par 3’s on the back nine were, in addition to the normal
nearest pin prize, again nominated for nearest the pin in 2 for players of 22
hcp and over. Luc seems to have made
this prize his own as he is the nearest most of the time. He also seems to be
lucky in the raffle. As he had won it on several occasions recently, he decided
to sponsor the raffle on this occasion. Thank you, Luc!
Finally, we welcomed back Graham Sutton after his extended visit to his
family “down under”. Good to see you
back, Graham (and Hazel)!
