Today we competed for the April Monthly Medal. With Easter just gone,
some of our members were still away and the attendance of 33 members and 1
guest was slightly lower than normal. The
members who were here, enjoyed a very pleasant sunny day, spoilt a little by
the cool winds, but who are we to complain when Northern Europe is suffering
from snow and ice.
Guy and Doris, both coming in with 71 points, were hoping that their score
would be good enough to win. However, Chris,
our “laughing Dutchman”, had one shot less to secure his place on the Medal
Winners Board. Greta also had a very
good round and scored the lowest gross score of 84. Congratulations to all!Brian Hines who was out on the second flight, certainly set the target for nearest the pin on hole 8. His drive hit the pin but, unfortunately, the ball stayed out of the hole, only inches away. Hard luck, Brian!

were 3 twos, all on hole 8, not only by Brian but also by Santi and Stan. They all were awarded the customary golf
