In the words of our Captain: Holiday is over and the Captain is back to organize our competitions. A vote of thanks went to Brian Hines for organizing the informal games during the summer break.
We started the new season with an Individual Stableford competition which qualified for handicap adjustments. The attendance was still low with 20 members and 2 guests playing and we are looking forward to welcoming back our members who went north to escape the hot summer temperatures. Those of us who did play, recorded good overall socres of 30+ points by two thirds of the players and nearly half of all the players came away with a prize, including James who won the raffle. Special congratulations go to our “laughing Dutchman” Chris, today’s winner.
We were delighted to see our President Neville and his wife Sandra at the prize giving and a cheerful Neville presenting the prizes. We wish him all the very best for his ongoing medical treatment.
