2018: Stableford, Chipping and Hidden Holes (19.9.)

Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa, 19 September 2018

31 members signed in for today’s competition and for the chance to win an abundance of prizes.  The main competition was Individual Stableford with the best 5 places to be awarded.  In addition to the four nearest the pin prizes, the higher handicap players of 22+ also had the chance of nearest the pin in two on the longer par 3 holes 11 and 14.

Jan and John’s Hidden Holes were also “on the cards” awarding the best player who had not won any of the main prizes. This time they nominated the best score of all par 5’s.

Finally, we had the monthly prize sponsored by Pascale and Jean-Paul.  They decided on a chipping competition with three options of distance to the flag and chipping into a net, which, afterwards, was awarded to one of the players who didn’t score so well, so he or she could continue practicing their chipping at home.

Guess who!

Our thanks go to Brian Hines, temporarily laid off the golf, for his help in organizing the chipping competition.

The winners of the main Stableford competition came in with excellent results, all scoring better than par. Special congratulations to Nick for a magnificent 40 points.

Before prize giving, Jan, our Competition Secretary, reminded everyone who is in the knock-out competitions, to look on the website and Master Scoreboard for further information.
