2018: Monthly Medal (3.10.)

Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa, 3 October 2018

On this first  Wednesday in October, 28 members competed for the Monthly Medal. The weather conditions were perfect for golf, warm and sunny, but not too hot and with just a slight breeze.  This was reflected in the very good scores posted where a net par resulted in “only” 4^th and 5^th place and nearly half of all players came in with a net score of 75 or better.  Special congratulations to our Captain Greta, today’s winner with a great net score of 68. She also had the best gross score needing only 6 extra strokes to par the course.

The was also a Singles Matchplay taking place between Kate Hurley and Marie-Jo Lesot.  Congratulations to Kate, the winner of this match.

Next week we will be playing at Alenda.  Because of the demand for places, we have secured extra tee-times and now have a couple of places left, if anyone else wants to play.

Also, please let Greta know urgently, if you want to walk the course and do not require a buggy.

There were two birdies: by Nino on hole 4 and Richard Davis on hole 14. Both received the customary golf ball.

5^th place with a net 72 off 23 hcp – Chris van Bemmelen

4^th place with a net 72 off 12 hcp – Michael Davison with a better back 9

3^rd place with a net 70 off 26 hcp – Ricky Nelson

2^nd place with a net 69 off 14 hcp – John Garnett

1^st place with a net 68 off 10 hcp – Greta Biersteker
