Today was the last competition arranged by Richard Davis, our outgoing Captain, which was followed by our AGM.
Richard had hoped to end his Captainship with a sociable team game, but unfortunately, last minute cancellations made the organisation of a team game not possible. We, therefore, played Individual Stableford, which was qualifying for handicap purposes.
We had 19 players and one guest, Patricia Smyth, who will become a member from next week. As a large proportion of the players today were ladies, the Captain decided to have a prize for the best 2 ladies and best 3 men, instead of the usual winners in the two Division.
Congratulations to everyone.
Next Wednesday, our new “part-time” Captain Robert Heyens will take over. We wish him, and the rest of the new Committee, well.
