Today was the first competition in our new Society year 2024. The format was Monthly Medal double score, and it was arranged by our new Captain Robert Heyens, who has taken over Captaincy for the first three months, followed by Pascale Leroux for the next three months, and then Tony and Heidi, and lastly by Derek and Karen.
The competition was a qualifier for all Society Competitions and the results were forwarded to the Spanish Federation for handicap adjustments.
Congratulations to all the winners, especially to Santi and Moe, who were the only players in both Divisions with scores better than par. It was a round of mixed results. In Division 1 nobody played to par and in Division 2, third place scored a net 78.
This year the Medal winners, on the day, will receive a bottle of cava, sponsored from Society funds, in addition to the prize in the Yearly Presentation.
After prize giving, in good weather on the Club terrace, 16 of us sat down for the traditional Medal Lunch which, as always, was very enjoyable.

Winner with a net 69 off 25 hcp – Santi Hung
