2018: Texas Scramble (27.6.)

Today's winning teams

Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa, 27 June 2018

Today’s weather forecast was for temperatures rising above 30 degrees C, so we were pleased to play a Texas Scramble which, in general, is a more relaxed format of golf.  Depending on how the game is progressing, you can choose to skip the odd shots and save your energy for the important shots.
There were 10 teams of 4 starting from both tee 1 and tee 10. The three guests today were included in all the prizes.  Due to the generosity of our Captain, there were a number of extra prizes, for details see below.
Roger celebrating his hole-in-one

There was great excitement in the team of Tony, Chris, Roger and Marie-Jo as they witnessed Roger shooting a hole-in-one with his 5-wood on hole 14. They then also won the competition. Many congratulations to Roger and the team.  After the general prize giving, we proceeded to toast Roger with a glass of Cava.
He was presented with the bar bill, but, don't worry, Roger, this comes out of the Society funds.
