Today's top four pairings 

Our captain Greta sorted 34 members and 2 guests into various pairings for today´s fun game - Chapman Greensomes. In this format you are presented with opportunities to take advantage of your partner´s great drives, try to remedy poor ones, or watch as your own superb drive flies out of bounds with partner´s second shot. He/she chips the ball close to the flag and you duff the 2 foot putt. All jolly good fun - gnashing of teeth, mutterings under the breath, or huge sighs of relief are all part of the amusement.
Despite the various things that could have gone wrong, some couples clearly made excellent progress and finished with lots of points based on 3/8 of their combined handicaps.  If you simply came in with a par score of 36 points, Greta was to announce, you were not in the prizes; 38? still no.
