Today we played away at Alenda Golf. We played an Individual Stableford competition which was also the second qualifier for the Bill Williams Away-Day Shield. Alenda as always proved to be a popular destination. The course was in good condition, the weather was very pleasant, so we all had an enjoyable day of golf. Well done to the winner, John Garnett, with an excellent score of 37 points. Also Peter Corbett is continuing to play well with his handicap being cut almost every week for the last couple of month. The Leroux family also had a succesful day with both Jean-Paul and Pascale ending up in the first five. On top of that, Pascale also won the weekly raffle, so their wine cellar was well and truly stacked up. There were two nearest the pins allocated to the ladies and two to the men. Unfortunarely,this time the pins for the ladies proved a big challenge and nobody found the greens. Instead, the two prizes went to the 4th and 5 th place in the main competition.
