The winning team |
Venue: Bonalba
Golf & Spa, 30th September 2015
Today was the birthday of our Captain Angel and he sponsored a number of
extra prizes. We played a team game of three best scores but there were also
prizes for the best five individual scores.
In addition we were competing for various other prizes thanks to the
generosity of our Captain. Again we had
a very good turnout of 41 members and 6 guests and luckily we were able to
start from tees 1 and 10 to cut down the waiting time to prize giving.
But please note that the course will be very busy in October and we will
not get additional tee-times to the ones already booked. So make sure your name is on the list to
ensure that you get a game as the allocation will be on a
first-come-first-serve basis.
Congratulations go the winning team for an excellent
score of 6 points better than par! On the individual scoring, Eddie is the man
of the moment, being in the prizes week after week. And finally, we need to mention the longest
drive for the men. We were all marvelling at the enormous drive from Brian who
managed to get past the very impressive 265 m drive from “Big Jeff”.
There was an error at the prize giving as Gay actually
came 6th and James was 4th. Apologies to both!
Just to remind everyone that next Wednesday will be
Presidents Day and the prizes will be presented at the Dinner on Saturday, 10
October. Please note: to be eligible
for a prize, you are expected to attend the Dinner.
