We assembled on the terrace of the hotel for drinks
and canapés before we sat down to dinner and all the ladies found a nice
little present at their place of the table. During the dinner there were
various toasts and an amusing address to the Captain by our Ex-Captain Graham. The Captain replied and thanked everyone who
had helped him with Captains Day and the Dinner. After the prize giving there was some extra
excitement as each table had the chance of a substantial “goodies bag” in a
raffle.
We were then entertained by Tony Francis who got us up
to dance to songs of the 50’s and 60’s.
Later on there were some strange dance combinations going on with people
dancing with flower pots on their heads ?!
And some members decided that Tony Francis needed a backing group. I let
you guess as to the identity of these enthusiastic singers.
