ALLOCATION
OF PRIZES
At the Committee Meeting on 16 November 2016 the following was unanimously agreed with effect from 30 November 2016.
An increasing number of members are not staying for
the Wednesday prize presentations. Whilst we appreciate the length of time it takes for
all competitors to complete their rounds and we are trying to use every
possible strategy to improve the speed of play and to have a two tee start
whenever possible, we nevertheless feel that this is
disrespectful to our Captain and the other members of the Society who do stay
on. Joining your fellow competitors for a drink and a friendly chat after the
game is an important social aspect of golf and our Society.
Only winners who are
present at the Prize Giving will be awarded a prize. Those not attending for whatever reason will
not receive a prize. This applies to both the individual winners and winners of
Nearest the Pin. The prizes for the
individual competition will be awarded consecutively to the next best results
and any unclaimed prize for NP will be returned to stock.
This does not affect
the Consistency Chart and handicap monitoring and adjustments.
Neither does it
affect the €1 entry fee.
We hope you
will respect and understand this decision and do your utmost to attend all
prize presentations to the benefit of us all.
