2018: Singles Matchplay and Stableford

John, Nino "The Bunny", Jan and Richard

This Wednesday, the majority of our members who entered the Individual Matchplay Knock-Out competition, had the opportunity to play their first round.  There were 9 matches, the results of which are below.
The remaining 19 members and 2 guests played Individual Stableford.  Because of the diminished field of  Stableford competitors,  there were only two prizes.  Congratuations to John and Jan (keep it in the family) for a very good round of golf.
The par 3’s were dominated by Nino, who scored a two on all three holes where he was nearest to the pin and bagged a whole sleeve of balls.  No wonder then that Nino in this form won his match in the knock-outs.

There will be the opportunity to play the second round of the Singles Knock-Out competition on Wednesday, 14 November.  However, this is the day of the Monthly Medal and anyone who is in the second round and wants to play the Medal competition, needs to arrange their match play on a different day, which must be any time before the 14 November.

Summarizing the results:
The guest prize was won by Denis with 34 points.
