Today we played a Texas Scramble.
It was Halloween, but, although our Captain Greta normally does not miss
a trick (or treat), she did not commandeer us to play in scary outfits.
There were 31 of us playing Texas Scramble 4 ball Medal with 4 drives
each. In addition, there was one Doubles
Matchplay being played. The result of
this was very close with Nino and Marie-Jo winning one up against Santi and
Michel Le Borgne.
Again, we were lucky with the weather. On Monday there were gale force
winds, on Tuesday there were downpours but typically of Spanish weather, on
Wednesday it was all behind us and we were able to play in pleasant weather
conditions. The only reminder of the rain was seeing the ground staff draining
a lot of water from the bunkers.
Congratulations to the winning teams. The team in first place was a
three ball. Although they had a few more
shots than the four ball teams, they had only three players going for the
putts.
