Today’s competition was an Individual Stableford. The pressure was somewhat off as it did not
qualify for handicap purposes, but it did count towards the internal
competitions like Consistency Chart and others.
This and the very pleasant weather seemed to put our members into a
relaxed mood which seems to have been reflected in the overall results. There were no really spectacular scores
today. Only one player scored to par and
this was our nonagenarian Keith. Very
well played! The remaining places on the
winners’ list all scored 34 and had to be separated on countback. From a total of 40 players, 24 players which
were nearly two thirds, posted scores of less than 30 points.
Today we also competed for John and Jan’s Hidden Holes. We can reveal that this time they had
nominated all par 5’s. There was a tie
for a total of 9 points. So everyone count up their scores! The two winners will be announced at the monthly
prize giving next week.
Our thanks goes to Brian Wakely, who was today in charge of making sure
everything went smoothly before we teed off and afterwards.

today, from Richard on holes 8 and 14 and hole 14 also saw Nino and John
Garnett putting in for two. They all
received the customary golf ball.
