Today we played a team game. The best three Stableford scores counted. In addition, the Federated players had the opportunity to enter their card to count for the Worldwide Handicap System. We had 7 teams competing, but because of late cancellations, some of the team had to have a “ghost” to complete their four ball.
At prize giving it was revealed that the ghost for all 3-ball teams was Chris van Bemmelen, who with 38 points was top of the individual scores and so made a valuable contribution to the results of the relevant teams. Congratulations to the winning team of Richard, Jean-Charles, Jean-Paul and the ghost Chris.
Two of the cancellations today came from Pierre and Marie-Jo. Pierre had to be rushed to hospital with a blood disorder. He is still quite ill but fortunately is on the road to recovery. Our thoughts and very best wishes are with him and his family.
Our thanks go to one of our new members, Patrick Boucard, who generously sponsored the tapas after our round of golf, which were enjoyed by all.
