Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa,
On both Wednesdays we played Individual Stableford, qualifying also for the Bonalba WH Series for those members who are registered with the Spanish Golf Federation. On the 18th, we awarded five prizes as there were 30 players. On the 25th, there were 29 players which meant that 4 prizes were awarded.
Although we are now in November, the weather is holding up well. The early mornings are a bit chilly but the sun soon warms up proceedings.
Again, there were some very good results. Jim Hurley narrowly beat Erik Paesmans for 4th place with a better score on the last 6 holes. On Wednesday, the 25th, our Captain Graham played a fantastic round of golf and came in with 43 points. Congratulations to him and well played to everyone on the winners’ podium.
Erik Paesmans had a good day on the par 3's. He was nearest on 2 holes, had a birdie on another and nearly had a hole in one on hole 4 when his ball hit the flag pole, but unfortunately the ball did not drop in.
There was a presentation today for both Wednesdays. After the presentation, we were saying our good-byes to Neville and Sandra, who have decided to return to the UK. Please see a separate tribute to them.
