2021: A Summary of 8th, 15th and 22nd December

These are the results for the last three Wednesdays.  Unfortunately, I had a very sore eye and found it very difficult to look at computer screens and to do any writing.  Needless to say that there was no golf for me either.

 

This Wednesday, the 22^nd November we had 16 members playing Individual Stableford and the results were as follows:

Stableford Competition:

1^st Division:

3^rd place with 33 points off 20 hcp – Tony Dewavrin

2^nd place with 37 points off 14 hcp – Michael Davison

1^st place with 37 points off 22 hcp  – Robert Heyens, with a better back 9

 

2^nd Division: 

3^rd place with 33 points off 33 hcp  – Moe Farouky

2^nd place with 33 points off 32 hcp – Jean-Claude Martinez, with a better back 9

1^st place with 36 points off 25 hcp  – Peter van der Mee

 

On Wednesday, 15 December we played a Texas Scramble.  There had been a Christmas lunch arranged after golf, but the Captain decided that the health risk, due to the increasing numbers of new Covid cases, was too great and regrettably had to cancel our get-together.

4^th place with a net 65.5 – Michael Davison, Martine Bernois, Pascale Leroux, Moe Farouky

3^rd place with a net 65.0 – Richard Davis, Brian Wakely, Tony Dewavrin

2^nd place with a net 65.0 and a better back 9 – Edi Rogers, Robert Heyens, Jacky Bernois, Nino Andres (G)

1^st place with a magnificent 61.2 – Helmut Treiber, Jean-Jacque Lavergne, Lief Heyens, Brian Hines

 

On Wednesday, 8^th December we had our Away Day at Alenda.  We were really looking forward to playing this ever popular course.  However, the weather gods were not kind to us, to say the least.  Gale force winds did spoil our rounds but we bravely soldiered on.  The results speak for themselves.
