Today we played our last Away Day for the 2021 season, sponsored by Bill Williams.
The format was Individual Stableford. We had a good turn-out of 23 members and 2 guests.
There were some excellent results, especially in Division 2. The lay-out of Alicante Golf has 6 holes of each par, 3, 4 and 5. That meant that we had chances of 6 nearest the pin prizes and all of them were taken up. However, nobody managed a birdie.
We were delighted to welcome back our Irish friends Jim and Kate Hurley from a prolonged stay in Ireland.
Although there was no prize presentation, some of us stayed behind and enjoyed a drink and a chat on the clubhouse terrace in lovely sunshine.
Today’s prizes will be presented next week, together with the presentation of the Annual Prizes which will be followed by a lunch at the Bonalba Club.
