Some of the fox hunters had gone into hiding
Venue: Golf & Spa, Bonalba
Today we played our second round of the two-player team game “Fox Hunting”, where the Foxes are always calculated at 0 and the teams try to play better than the Foxes.
In this round the Foxes were Marcel Barink and Jan Boultbee, which were selected at random.
The scoring had been amended from the first game. Now only the best score of the pair is recorded.
The updated standing of games is on the right of this blog.
We had a good turn-out of 27 members and two guests. Although the weather forecast was for a lot of rain, everybody but one turned up on the day. The Captain told us that he was up all night to pray for dry weather. His prayers must have been heard, as it kept dry for almost the whole round.
Next week we will compete for the May Medal, with a lunch after the game.
Please look out on the blog for details of the lunch.
The summary of the competition was as follows:
Nearest the pin:
Hole 4 Richard Davis
Hole 8 our new member Sonja
Hole 11 Jan Boultbee
Hole 14 Jan Boultbee
There were no twos today.
Team results:
2nd – Bob Crow and Graham Sutton with 4 up from the foxes
1st - John Garnett and Michel Le Borgne with 5 up
