Today we played the October Medal Maximum Score. It qualified for all Society competitions and also handicap adjustments.
We had 23 members competing for the Medal and 5 guests playing Individual Stableford. We were lucky in that the weather forecast was for some rain or even thunder and lightening which did not materialise.
Compared to last month’s results, where nobody played under par, the winning scores this month were all under par. In fact, in Division 1, there were 3 players with a net score of 70. Richard Davis narrowly missed out on the prizes, on countback on the back 9. However, he did get a “neary”.

Our Captain is trying to resurrect the monthly lunches after Medal play, so a number of members and guests sat down after prize giving to a very enjoyable lunch on the terrace of Bonalba Golf Club.
