Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa
This Wednesday it was Captain’ Day which is one of the highlights of our golfing year. We had 30 members competing for the Trophy and 7 guests who competed for the two best guest scores and were also in the draw for nearest the pin.
The format was Individual Stableford which was also a qualifier for handicap adjustments. On this occasion, there was no playing handicap limit of 36 which is the normal Society rule. Also, there were no divisional winners, instead the prizes, which were gift vouchers for the Bonalba Pro-shop, went to the 4 overall best players. Also, the Captain awarded a few bottles of pink cava which went to the best two guests, the nearest the pin winners and two of them were raffled off.
Finally, all the ladies were presented with a smart white Ping cap.
Many congratulations to the winners, all of whom came in with exceptionally good scores.
Prize giving was during Captain’s Lunch at the Bonalba Restaurant, after the competition. There were 41 of us enjoying this special occasion.
