Competitions
A minimum of 3 x Handicap Qualifying Competitions per month (1 x Medal and 2 x Stableford)
A minimum of 1 team game per month
2 Divisions (Division 1 up to 19.2 exact hcp, Division 2, 19.3 and over)
Eclectic - Sponsored by Yorkshire Heating (Jeff Murten) Best score on each hole from all Individual competitions at Bonalba. Again 2 Divisions and 50% of current exact hcp to apply.
Consistency Chart – Sponsored by Edi Rent a Car – Based on top 10 finish by division in all qualifying competitions.
Ladies Championship – Sponsored by John Garnett and Jan Boultbee. Best 6 Scores from all Individual Stableford Competitions.
Best 9 Holes Score - Sponsored by Bob Crow. Front 9, Back 9 or both, announced in advance for each Individual competition.
Nearest the Pins – Holes 4 and 8 each week as a minimum until we have established the number of members later in February. Birdies on Par 3´s will continue to receive a ball until stocks are used up.
1 Raffle prize each week for those not receiving a prize
Handicaps
100% WHS handicaps to apply which will be updated after all individual competitions. We will continue to apply a playing handicap limit of 36 for new members but partners of existing members will play off their full WHS Handicap.
Members who play in a different WHS Country system can use that handicap if they bring a copy of their handicap and playing record from their own country system. If they join the Spanish Federation then that system will apply.
All members should join the Spanish Golf Federation and receive a WHS handicap. Please note the cost of a temporary license is now 2€ per game and if you have or cause an accident and you hold a residents NIE certificate any claim will be invalid and you may be liable for all costs. The society are not responsible for any claims against an individual playing in their competitions.
Tees
All members have the right to play in all our competitions off Yellow, Red or Blue Tee markers and their handicap will be adjusted. Any male member with an exact handicap of 24 and over is recommended to play every game off the blue or red markers. The Committee will reserve the right to enforce this based on age, mobility and ability but it should be personal choice.
Booking and Scoring
Competitions will be placed on Master Scoreboard 1 month generally in advance and will be closed on the Monday at 12pm as usual.
All individual competitions will be entered on GolfDirecto and links to online scoring will be sent by email to all entrants on the Tuesday before the event. As a guideline we should have 1 member in each group entering the score online and 1 completing a scorecard to check at the end of the game. Members can download the GolfDirecto App to their phones to try out in their social games. Like any new technology it is difficult to take on new challenges but I can assure you it becomes easier and more accurate than completing a scorecard. Please give it a go!
Away Days
Individual away days will be limited to the Low Season months and will be advised shortly.
I have provisionally booked an away trip to Valle del Este for 24 players as follows;

I need to confirm the booking within the next 2 weeks and therefore need all members to confirm their interest or not.
Members will get priority but guests may be welcomed to make up the numbers.
I need a volunteer/s please to help administer this trip.
