| Rip, two weeks ago |
It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you that Brian Rippingale, better known as “Rip” passed away last Tuesday. He was a long standing member and a former Captain of the Costa Blanca Golf Society and “the Old Guard” of our Society will remember him well, and indeed his late wife Sally, as keen golfers and very active members, always willing to help.
Unfortunately, Rip stopped playing golf a while ago, due to health reasons.
We have lost a true individual. Although, physically he had a few struggles, his intellect was truly something to be admired. He also loved jazz music. He wrote books about the early stages of jazz and was a very competent piano player himself.
Our thoughts are with his family and we send our deepest condolences to them.
Dear Rip, you will be sorely missed. May you rest in piece.
