2023: 9 Holes Competitions (5.6.)

Individual and Team Winners

Venue:  Bonalba Golf & Spa, 5.6.23

Due to the greens maintenance, we played our weekly competition this Monday.  We had an attendance of 24 players, participating in a “fun” game.  We played the back 9 twice, the first round was an Individual Stableford competition and the second round a Texas Scramble with no limitations on drives.  This overall format was very enjoyable, making the best of playing the same 9 holes twice.

Apart from the normal price giving, Stan Tarabula also presented the prizes for his sponsored Spring Cava Competition.  He generously decided to also award runner-up prizes this time as the last qualifying competition for this series had to be cancelled due to heavy rain, so the outcome could have been different.

The results of the Spring Cava Challenge is:

Division 1

Winner:  Pascale Leroux with 62 points

Runner-up: Jan Boultbee with 59 points

Division 2

Winner:  Lief Heyens with 56 points

Runner-up:  Maurice Buol with 50 points

The Summer Cava Challenge is being played in June, July and August.

Please note:  There will be no competition next Wednesday either.  Instead, our Captain Richard Davis is organising a Charity Pairs Texas Scramble on Thursday, 15 June and hopes that as many members as possible will support this.  Details are on Master Scoreboard.  Please contact Richard, if you need a playing partner.
