Today we had our seasonal Santa’s Secret Presents Day. Everyone brought a suitably wrapped present and the winners had first choice of picking one.
We had 24 players competing in teams of 4. We played a Texas Scramble with 4 drives each, which was an enjoyable format on a day like today. Everyone entered into the spirit of Christmas, and we especially liked the outfits of Derek and Karen, two of our newer members.
The results were very close and the winners had to be decided by countback on the back 9. Congratulations to the winners, but on a day like today, everyone was a winner, not just enjoying the golf but also looking forward to Christmas, in the company of our fellow golfers.
