Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa
This Wednesday we competed for our January 2024 Medal Maximum Score which was a qualifying competition. This was the last medal competition in our Society year 2023, as the CBGS competition year always starts in February.
Unfortunately, we had some last minute cancellations and ended up with 20 players. Some cancellations were because of the weather forecast which predicted heavy rain. However, the rain arrived early and by the time we teed off, the rain had gone and we enjoyed a “dry” round .
Today, playing to par was enough to secure a prize. Richard was the only player who managed to finish the round under par. Many congratulations to him and also to Luc, Graham and Marko.
Bob’s ball went to the player with the best front 9. Congratulations to Santi for a magnificent score of net 34.
The green of par 3 hole 11, which was nominated for Division 1 players, again proved to be too difficult for them to reach. Maybe next time, the Division 2 players will have the chance to show them how to do it. Although Richard chipped in for a 2.
The golf was followed by our Monthly Medal Lunch at the Bonalba Restaurant.
