Today we played our first Medal Competition in 2025 under the new Captain Karen und Vice-Captain Derek Cruickshank. Karen started her Captainship last week with the customary Drive-in.

We had 24 members and 2 guests taking part. It was a very chilly start, but the sun came out later and we were able to take some of the layers off to give us more freedom in our swing. The cold may have been a contributing factor to the unspectacular scoring. Only Richard managed to play to par. There were, however, four players who managed to putt in on the par 3’s for a birdie.
Congratulations to all the winners. There were three prizes in each Division. Stan Tarabula kindly is sponsoring first place in each Division.
At prize giving the Captain told us that an Away Trip was being organised to La Sella in September. Details are published in our WhatsApp Group.
Next week we are looking forward to our Annual Prize Presentation which will take place during Lunch at Bonalba Restaurant.

The four twos were by Jean-Jaques Bourrier on hole 4, Richard Davis and Heidi Dewavrin on hole 8 and Marko van den Berg on hole 14.

3rd place with a net 73 off 23 hcp – Santi Hung
2nd place with a net 73 off 13 hcp – Marko van den Berg, beating Santi on lower handicap
Winner with a net 72 off 14 hcp – Richard Davis
2nd Division:
3rd place with a net 75 off 30 hcp – Doris Shearman-Earp, beating Heidi Dewavrin on lower handicap
2nd place with a net 75 off 26 hcp – Jean-Jaques Bourrier, on lower handicap
Winner with a net 74 off 32 hcp – Luc Verhaegen
