| Keith at 90 |
It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you that Keith Preston passed away last Sunday. He lived to the grand old age of 97.
Keith was one of the founder members of the Costa Blanca Golf Society and deeply involved with the Society. He served as Captain, Secretary and Vice-President and holds the record of the oldest playing member of our Society, playing golf into his early nineties. We all admired his fitness and, having been a Physical Training Instructor in the Army, we often used to seek his advice to help with our aches and pains.
Keith eventually gave up playing golf because of diminishing eyesight, but he, together with his wife Pauline, stayed in touch by joining us on various social events.
Keith was not only a competent golfer, but earlier in his life he and Pauline were heavily involved in the sport of Curling, competing in the Welsh League.
The funeral was held today and was attended by some of our members who remembered Keith well and we passed on our deepest condolences to his widow Pauline and family.
Bonalba Golf Club honoured Keith with a beautiful wreath.
Dear Keith, may you rest in peace.
