Venue : Bonalba Golf &Spa, Wednesday, 28th August 2013.
Today Clive Dresner and Dennis Pyman played the final of the Singles Knockout competition. It promised to be a closely foughty match by two of our Society’s single handicap players and so it turned out according to Richard Davis who was observing. Dennis won the match 2 and 1 with a birdie on the 17th after a great comebck from Clive who was 4 down after 8 holes. Great final played in a good but competitive spirit!
For the rest of us our Captain had arranged a 4 Ball Better Ball competiiton.which made a nice change from the individual competitions. As we teed off we watched with concern the black clouds gathering all around Bonalba. A thunderstorm was forecast for midday but the weathergods were kind to us and we managed to finish our competition without the expected rainstorm.
We had one guest playing with us today, Bob, on holiday from the UK who scored 33 points playing off 7 handicap. Well played!.

The names for nearest the pins are becoming very predictable – admirable accuracy week after week!
There was one two today, Richard Davis who would have been very disappointed if he had missed the putt as his ball was very close. He receives the customary ball.
