Today we played an Individual Stableford competition. The greens were still a bit tricky after the recent sanding and some of us had some problems judging our putts, especially in terms of speed. However, others did not seem to have this problem, judging by the good results at the top of the table. Brian, our Captain, played yet again above his handicap. Gordon achieved third place for the third time running. Keep going, Gordon! Looking at the consistency chart, Clive is doing his level best to catch Dennis and their friendly rivalry continues. The weather was hot and humid but nobody really complained about it. We are happy to enjoy the warm weather to the envy of our friends in Northern Europe where the autumn has well and truly set in.
Although guests are always welcome in our Society, on this occasion there was nobody playing for the guest prize.

1st place with 37 points off 14 hcp, Brian Hines
