We had a good turn-out today of 36 members for our
Individual Stableford competition. The weather was kind to us. Whilst there is
snow recorded in various Mediterranian countries, we enjoyed reasonable winter
temperatures of around 16 degrees.
All in all it was a good golfing day. Over half of the
players scored 30 points or more and it was good to see some different names on
top of the winners’ list.
Congratulations for playing better than their handicap to Luc and Gordon
and playing to their handicap or near it to Roger, Richard and Michael. Today there was a choice of prizes. Apart
from the normal bottles of wine there were also various boxes of sweet or
savoury snacks on offer.
Today's competition also included the Vice-Captain’s
Monthly Prize. On this occasion, Gordon
awarded the highest score on the four Par Five holes. Les Wilkinson was the winner with a
magnificent 10 points.

Hole 11 Jan Boultbee, taking pride that she managed to get even nearer the hole than Greta did

There was one two today. Jan had no
problem in putting in on the 11th.
