| Ready for the exchange of presents |
Venue: Bonalba Golf &
Spa, 12 December 2018
The Christmas spirit had reached our Society, as we assembled this
morning, each of us bearing a gift and our Captain handing out Santa hats for us
to wear during our round of golf. The
format was a Texas Scramble with the usual 4 drives per player. It was a lovely sunny day, so we saw a lot of
Santas playing in short sleeves.
There was a special prize for the best team and various nearest the pin
prizes, but today everybody was a winner. Our Captain asked us to all stay in a
circle as we exchanged presents. However, our congratulations go to the winning
team of Richard, Edi, Noel and Christiane who came in with an impressive gross
score of 68 shots and a lead of 4 shots to the next best teams.
The golf was followed by a very enjoyable lunch at the Bonalba Restaurant and a good
time was had by all.

There were 2 twos today from Nino
and Gordon, both on hole 8. Unfortunately no prize for them for nearest the pin as this
hole was reserved for the Ladies.
However, they received the customary golf ball.
