Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa, 16 October
2019
This Wednesday there were 32 members competing for
Individual Stableford points. This competition
was a qualifier for handicap and all other Society competitions. In addition, we had 4 guests competing for
our guest prize.
After our round of golf and before we retired to
the terrace of the Golf Club, we had another challenge. It was a putting
competition over 9 holes, which had been postponed from previous weeks. It was sponsored by
Jean-Paul and Pascale Leroux. To spread
out the prizes, three best scores were awarded to players who were not in the
main five prizes.
The Winners of the Champagne |
There were more prizes from Jan and John who are
sponsoring the Hidden Holes award. This
month they nominated holes 2, 8, 11 and 17.
Luc and Angel both had 10 points. Luc was declared the winner on
countback on the two holes of the back 9.
Our President Gordon stood in for Stan and Christiane
Tarabula to present their Champagne Challenge.
In Division 1 Eddy Fagg won with 110 points and Luc Verhaegen won with
101 points in Division 2.
The places in the main Stableford competition were
also hotly contested. There were only 2
points difference in the first five places.
So countback had to be applied as far back as the last 3 holes.
Congratulations to all the winners, too many for
each one to be mentioned.
Finally, we thank Jim and Kate Hurley for
organising the rota today.
