If last month's medal results were a little disappointing, it was not so today. Although no one produced a net score below par, just over half of the 33 members had scores in the 70s. 12 were net 76 or below, and the top 5 were within three shots of each other.
In the end the leader in the clubhouse and deserved winner of this month's medal was John Garnett with his fine 72. Congratulations! Erik Paesmans and Marie Josée were just one shot behind, with Mo Farouki and Graham Sutton close on their heels. Full set of prize-winners below.
Next week, as announced earlier, we are restricted to just 8 tee-times, so if you are not already signed in you may be disappointed this week - a national holiday sees Bonalba members with priority booking. Those of us playing, however, have an extra competition after the main round. The new proud grandparents of twins, Pascale and Jean Paul Leroux, are sponsoring a putting competition which will take place in front of the clubhouse after play. Brain Hines will kindly be taking charge of the arrangements there.
It will also be the second qualifying round for the bi-monthly Tarabula Champagne prizes.
