2019: Indiv. Stableford Q (20.11.)

Today’s Individual Stableford competition qualified for handicap adjustments and all other Society competitions.  31 members had signed up and on this occasion, there were no guests joining us.  There was also one second round Singles knock-out match  being played in which Richard Davis won against Helmut Treiber.
The weather in the last week or so has been quite cold for this time of the year, especially first thing in the morning.  So, to cope with this, a few layers of clothing were  required which could then be shed as the morning went on and the temperatures were rising.

In addition to the normal weekly prizes, we competed for the monthly Hidden Holes sponsored by John and Jan and the monthly prize sponsored by Jean-Paul and Pascale who decided to award longest drives and best front and back 9.  All of these prizes were awarded to the best players who were not featuring in the main prizes.  The hidden holes today were 1, 8 and 15.
The winners on the leader board all played to par and better.  Michael, who also had 36 points, was narrowly beaten for 5^th place by Marie-Jo who had a better back 9. Special congratulations to Bob Crow, the overall winner with an impressive 40 points.

Many thanks to Graham, who did not rest on his laurels after celebrating his success on President’s Day, to be on rota duty today.
