No socialising before and after golf, no prize presentation, no photo of the winners,
BUT
after nearly 3 months of lockdown, this is Phase 1 of re-establishing our Society and we were very happy to hold our first competition under strict Corona rules, as required by Bonalba Golf Club.
Under these rules, we are not able to reserve a block of tee-times for the Society but individuals can only book one flight at a time. Therefore, the Captain had to ask for volunteers who would book their allocated flight and as “Leaders” are responsible for recording the scores and passing them on to Richard to be entered into Master Scoreboard.
The Captain would like to take this occasion to thank all of the volunteers for their efforts in booking these tee-times and to Richard for his much appreciated help in maintaining the Master Scoreboard. Also, many thanks goes to his Vice-Captain Brian for his help in getting the competition going again.
Now for the results:
All the prizes will be recorded carefully and presented at a future date.
Unfortunately, under the present rules we cannot have Nearest to Pins but the Twos’ Club is still in existence.
There were 4 twos today:
James Burnett on hole 4, Santi Hung on hole 8, Michael Davison and Eddy Fagg on hole 14.
The results of the Stableford competition were:
5th place with 36 points off 24 hcp – Santi Hung, beating Eric Page on the back 9
4th place with 36 points off 24 hcp – Pascale Leroux with a better back 9
3rd place with 37 points off 9 hcp – Greta Biersteker
2nd place with 37 points off 23 hcp – Jan Boultbee, beating Greta on the back 9
1st place with 39 points off 20 hcp – Tony Dewavrin
