On Wednesday, 6th January, we had our Monthly Medal competition. A diminished field of 19 members and 1 guest took part. The weather forecast for Spain on this Three Kings Day was for snow and ice in many parts of the country. There was no snow here, but it was pretty cold first thing. Luckily, later on temperatures rose which allowed us to take off some layers of clothing and swing more freely.
Congratulations to Brian Hines who continued his good form from last week and also won the January Medal.
The results of the Medal Competition were as follows:

Hole 11 (hcp 0-21) Michael Davison
Hole 14 (hcp 0-21). Richard Davis
Richard also had a two on hole 14 and received the customary golf ball.
The main competition results were:
5th place with a net 73 off 31 hcp – Klaudia Martinez
4th place with a net 72 off 32 hcp – Keith Preston
3rd place with a net 72 off 31 hcp – Luc Verhaegen
2nd place with a net 72 off 27 hcp – Santi Hung with the best back 9
1st place with a net 70 off 26 hcp – Brian Hines
On the 30th December 23 of us played Individual Stableford and the results were as follows:

Santi and Moe both had a two on hole 8.

3rd place with 34 points off 21 hcp – Stan Tarabula, with a better back 9
2nd place with 36 points off 27 hcp – Santi Hung
1st place with 38 points off 26 hcp – Brian Hines
