Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa
Today we had 21 players competing for Stableford points. This competition also counted for the 12th round out of 15 of the Bonalba WHS Series 2021. The weather was very pleasant but the wind got up again around lunchtime, keeping the temperatures down.
Today’s round again produced some very good results with top scores better than par. Special congratulations to Eddie Fagg and Brian Wakely, the winners of the two divisions.
The Bonalba restaurant had opened up the back terrace for us to have our prize giving. Prizes were presented for last week’s medal and today’s Stableford competition. To celebrate the return of prize presentations after the golf, we were treated to tapas and a drink.
Unfortunately, we also had to announce some very sad news. Neville Woodfine, one of the founder members of the Costa Blanca Golf Society and serving the Society as Treasurer and latterly President, passed away yesterday morning, after a long illness. We are all very sad to hear the news and our thoughts are with Sandra and family. A separate tribute to Neville will be published very shortly.
