This Wednesday we went to Font del Llop on one of the Away Days sponsored by Bill Williams. As Away Days are always popular, we had a good turn-out of 28 members and 4 guests. We played the normal Individual Stapleford.
Font del Llop has 5 par 3’s. So there was the extra prize for nearest to the pin. There was no prize giving today. Today’s prizes will be presented next Wednesday.
It was interesting to see that hole 9 has been redesigned around the green. The barranca in front of the green has been removed, making it a slightly more friendly approach to the green, but it still remains the hardest hole of the course.
The course was in very good condition, especially also the greens. This may have helped to achieve the many excellent scores. Congratulations to everyone on the winners’ board, and especially to Brian and Maurice, the winners of Division 1 and 2.
